Draxborough
N Gauge
Using a mix on words, Draxborough is a fictitious Power
Station scene based partly on Richborough and Drax
sites. With modellers licence we also have nearby a
modern TMD, Refuelling Point, Halt, Factory Space,
Fishing Pond and Golf Course. The layout dimensions are
15’ 6” x 5’ 3”.
Draxborough Plan
Draxborough was designed from scratch using AnyRail 6 software.
You can double click on the plan to get a full view. The pictures below
should the layout under construction with all the track laid and wiring
complete. Next phase will be installing Point Motors and the Control
Panels. We have used wire from Maplins (now closed) and using
automotive connectors. The idea is to reduce the amount of
soldering and allows us to isolate each board for easier fault finding
that we hope will never happen. Well of course that’s what you hope!

Scenic Beginnings
Draxborough scenic applications are in their early stages. A road to
the power station crosses three lines. There is a car and lorry park
close by. Spring has arrived at Draxborough…
Fiddle Yard
Draxborough Fiddle Yard is an eight road train storage area with
midway isolators. The middle roads have a Diamond Slip for changing
sides. There are also six points leading to the fiddle yard. Further
around the bend is another four points giving storage for smaller
DMU’s etc.
